The National Network to End Domestic Violence held its 3rd annual Safety Net Technology Summit in San Francisco July 27-30, 2015. The event was for advocates and professionals addressing technology and intimate partner violence, sexual assault, stalking, and trafficking. I had the pleasure of co-presenting with Erica Johnstone, Esq. on nonconsensual pornography. Our talk: “Revenge Porn: It’s Not about Revenge and It’s Not About Porn.” Big thanks to HBO for letting us use segments from the Internet harassment episode of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver for which we both consulted. The summit was so full of brain and heart and it was nice for us providers of direct services to provide feedback to the very engaged crew from Twitter, Facebook, Tor, and Google. I also had the pleasure of re-uniting with fellow members of the Minnesota Working Group on Revenge Porn, the inimitable Bria Kam and Chrissy Chambers.
