Core Values:

It is important that all members of our team share our five core values.  Before applying for any position, please read these and decide if you share our values.

Pursue radical justice.  Fight for our client to right their wrong and restore fairness in the world. Be tenacious and trust your gut. Challenge the status quo. By the time our clients come to us, the worst happened; the legal system is ours to use boldly and courageously because it’s too late to erase the harm that already occurred.

Live to fight another day. We are nobody’s victim – model the power of transformation for our clients. The go-to in a crisis. Knocked down? We get back up and dust ourselves off. Unflappable, unflinching. Gutsy, gritty, and a little glitzy.

Do it with love. We are guided by the love for our clients and justice – not hate toward our adversary. We show our respect to our fellow team members and the law firm by being accessible to each other and the clients. Always striving to show we care through responsiveness and connectivity. Above all else, loving others first requires loving your self. Show yourself the grace you show others.

Purpose above all else Anchor to the purpose so you don’t get distracted by the shiny objects along the way. Strive for excellence. Finding the solution requires flexibility of mind and heart. Tell the truth – even if it’s ugly. Actually, especially if it’s ugly. Be accountable: if you own your own shit, you can own your gold too.

No exceptions. Manufacturers and sellers owe a duty to not release dangerous products into the stream of commerce. Technology companies deserve no special treatments or legal immunities. We enjoy a strictly adversarial relationship with most major technology platforms. Everybody deserves the right to be left alone. This is true online and offline. Physically, emotionally, and sexually

Associate Attorney

C.A. Goldberg, PLLC is hiring an Associate Attorney for immediate start.

The Associate will participate in all areas of our legal practice – representing victims of sexual violence, stalking, gender-based violence, Title IX and campus disciplinary proceedings, and personal injury against Big Tech. This firm fiercely advocates for online companies to be held responsible for harms they cause. The Associate will have a caseload that involves litigation in state and federal courts, as well as family courts.

The firm has mental health support systems in place, but any candidate will need to have coping strategies for difficult subject areas. The job involves working with trauma victims, exposure to graphic material, dealing with cases involving the abuse of children, intimate partner violence, victims of image-based abuse, targets of online attacks and harassment, drug overdoses, murder, and suicide.

The candidate:

You have 3-9 years of litigation experience, demonstrated employment background providing direct services in intimate partner/sexual violence, personal injury, multi-district litigation and/or victims rights, and in good standing to practice law in in NYS.  As awesome as you are, we are not able to consider less experienced candidates, but will consider more experienced.

You are a personable individual who is interested in connecting and collaborating with allies in the movement. You are a lawyer with ingenuity and risk tolerance, a lawyer who is excited about filing a lawsuit one day and seeing it in the headlines the next. But on the flipside, can handle Law360 reporting on defeats (they do happen when pioneering cutting edge legal theories) in addition to the wins.

  • This is a full time role. We are ready for you to start ASAP.
  • Brooklyn office. The position requires travel to conferences and to clients as necessary.
