C.A. Goldberg, PLLC founder Carrie Goldberg appointed to social media MDL Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee

 

In November 2022, C.A. Goldberg, PLLC founder Carrie Goldberg was appointed to the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee of the Social Media Adolescent Addiction Multidistrict Litigation (“MDL”) by U.S. District Judge Yvonne Gonzales Rogers of the Northern District of California.

This Multidistrict Litigation (MDL) involves various defendants such as Meta Platforms, Inc., Instagram LLC, Snap, Inc., TikTok, Inc., ByteDance, Inc., YouTube LLC, Google LLC, and Alphabet Inc. 

Plaintiffs have alleged that the social media platforms are defective encourage addictive behavior in adolescents, resulting in emotional and physical harms, including death.

The case is In RE: Social Media Adolescent Addiction/Personal Injury Products Liability Litigation MDL No. 3047
