We Win $950k for Our Client from NYC Dept. of Ed for Punishing her after Stairwell Sexual Assault in LW v NYC DOE, et al. (July 15, 2018)

After reporting a brutal rape that happened in her school’s stairwell, our 15-year-old client was punished by administrators at Teachers Preparatory HS in Brownsville. The school’s attempt to silence her were unsuccessful. Our firm filed a complaint on her behalf, leading to a nearly $1 million settlement from the New York City Department of Education.
As Carrie states in the New York Post’s’ coverage, “it won’t undo the hell she suffered, but it will buy her some comfort and healing.”
