COVID19 update: Important Announcement for New Yorkers with Temporary Orders of Protection!

COVID19 update: News for New Yorkers with Temporary Orders of Protection

All Temporary Orders of Protection issued in all counties in NYC Family Court that are due to expire, are extended until the date the matter is re-calendared.

So if your family court date is cancelled (see this blog for more info) don’t worry. Check the court calendar for the rescheduled date.  Click here for your next court date.

You may not get a new Temporary Order of Protection in the mail with the extended date. So, for now, try to print out this administrative order (below) and carry it around with your Temporary Order of Protection.

If you don’t have access to a printer, screenshot it and have it accessible.

Let’s not let the a-holes out there take advantage of the system being under stress.
