Calling NY employment attorneys and law students!

New York employment attorneys: you need to be here next week!

On October 3rd, Victims’ Rights lawyer, Carrie Goldberg, and Pregnancy Discrimination lawyer, Susan Crumiller will discuss what employment lawyers need to know about New York State’s new “revenge porn” law.

Revenge porn is the nonconsensual distribution of intimate videos and pictures. And it impacts the workplace.

At this event, Carrie and Susan will provide useful information to attorneys on both the employer and employee side about how this law impacts New York City Human Rights Law’s protections from discrimination for victims of domestic violence, stalking, and sex offenses. They will further discuss reasonable accommodations that victims of revenge porn are entitled to, such as time off related to the abuse. And finally they will talk about the new civil remedies available to victims.
