Intimate image abuse is on the rise. What does that mean for our mental health?
Spectrum News, May 1, 2025
Nicole Clark
To coincide with Mental Health Awareness Month, our Chief of Staff Norma Buster was featured in a segment for Spectrum News. As a survivor of image-based sexual abuse, Norma shared her story, how she found our founder Carrie Goldberg, and her own healing journey, which includes working with other survivors. The segment refers to the growing number of victims of deepfake abuse, which our firm has years of experience with, both with our clients and through our advocacy work pushing for legislation that will protect all victims of image-based sexual abuse.
“One thing that I tell people is the shame is not yours to carry, it’s for the perpetrator to carry.” – Norma Buster

CREEP Act Lobbying Day Media Coverage!
On May 6, we organized a lobbying day in Albany to educate our lawmakers about the CREEP Act. We kicked off the day with a press conference, led by our champions of the bill, Senator Andrew Gounardes (D-26) and Assemblymember Jessica González-Rojas (D-34). Carrie spoke to the severity of harm caused by stalking and our firm’s experience working with survivors.
Following the press conference, we met with the offices of over two dozen elected officials and dropped off literature for everybody else. At the end of our Lobby Day, we received serious new commitments from about a dozen sponsors. It was an incredible day, and we are so grateful to all the lawmakers sponsoring this bill, to everyone from all over New York who came out to Lobby Day, and to our incredible CAG Anti-Creep Creep Club.

WYRK (Buffalo), May 8, 2025

“Technology has transformed our lives, but in the era of cyberstalking, revenge porn and deep fakes, our laws haven’t kept up. This commonsense policy modernizes New York’s laws to account for the digital landscape where so much harassment now occurs, and ensures our neighbors and loved ones are protected both online and offline.” – State Senator Andrew Gounardes

TAKE IT DOWN: Online Abuse and Harassment with Carrie Goldberg of C.A. Goldberg, PLLC
Privacy Insider Podcast, May 22, 2025
Arlo Gilbert, Osano CEO
Carrie was featured in the Privacy Insider Podcast, sharing her insights with Osano CEO, Arlo Gilbert, on privacy violations, from image-base sexual abuse or IBSA (formerly known as revenge porn) to doxing to online harassment. Throughout the episode, Carrie talks about her extensive litigation experience against Big Tech and abusers, stalkers and psychos. She also reflects on her personal experience as a survivor of harassment and IBSA, and becoming the lawyer she so desperately needed when she went through this.
Carrie also discusses how the legal system is adapting and where the gaps remain as the digital landscape continues to change at an increasingly rapid rate.
“I also win sometimes, more often now, and create good case law. And good case law never would have happened if it weren’t for the risks of trying out new theories. The product liability theory has now really taken off in many places in the country. And it is now being used against Meta and TikTok and YouTube and Snap.” — Carrie Goldberg
