Annie Seifullah to speak at Addressing Domestic Violence in the Virtual World 2023 conference

Join C.A. Goldberg, PLLC associate Annie Seifullah at Practising Law Institute (PLI)‘s upcoming event: Addressing Domestic Violence in the Virtual World, on February 10, 2023.

This program will explore the legal and practical challenges of representing survivors of domestic violence, in particular those who have been victims of technology-assisted abuse. Experienced practitioners will share their practical strategies for addressing challenges when helping clients subject to cyber abuse, including understanding what technology-facilitated abuse is and its impact, strategies for gathering and presenting relevant evidence, and addressing ethical obligations that can arise in these cases.

The event is designed for attorneys and social workers in private, pro bono, or public interest practice who are interested in assisting domestic violence survivors. The program will benefit both new and experienced practitioners, as well as those interested in pro bono matters, and will enhance their ability to address domestic violence issues, especially those that arise in technology-facilitated abuse cases.

Annie’s panel “Gathering and Presenting Technology-Facilitated Abuse Evidence and Protecting the Victim” will explore strategies, jurisdiction, legal remedies, investigative techniques and evidence presentation.
