John Aaron Stark, “Aaron” as he is known, joined the firm in 2024. He prides himself on going above and beyond for each and every client, treating you as if you were family—he truly cares about the outcome of your case.

Aaron’s civil practice focuses on victims of sexual abuse, discrimination, serious injuries, and civil rights violations. In one of his first major civil cases, Mr. Stark, along with co-counsel, Evan Foulke, obtained a settlement of $11,000,000.00—one of the largest settlements against a public institution under New York’s Child Victims’ Act—a result of aggressive and thorough case preparation and pre-trial litigation. Only four months after this record settlement, Mr. Stark obtained a jury verdict of $3,750,000.00 for a victim of sexual abuse against her former middle school teacher.

Aaron is a former Marine Corps Officer and graduate of Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College. He has litigated high-profile and complex civil and criminal cases in state, federal, and military courts across the Nation.  While serving as an Officer in the United States Marine Corps, he first served as a criminal defense attorney and then later as a victims’ rights attorney, leading diverse teams in fast-paced, high-stress legal environments.

Prior to his military service, Aaron clerked for the United States Attorney’s Office in the Federal District of Oregon and volunteered as a board member and project coordinator for the Northwest Environmental Defense Center. Aaron earned a Bachelor of Science degree at Penn State University and later obtained his juris doctorate from Lewis & Clark Law School where he was honored as the associate editor of the year for Environmental Law Review and served as mentor for at risk youth in Portland.
