C. Sophia Zoubul, Esq.


Sophia joins the firm after a successful tenure as the Associate Program Director of the ICAN Project, a health initiative that empowers and informs New Yorkers navigating the healthcare market. Prior to joining ICAN, she worked as a clinical ethicist at Lenox Hill Hospital, providing astute and judicious consultation on ethically complex queries faced by the medical team. She has also worked as a senior attorney with the NYS Task Force on Life and Law and as a staff attorney role with the Vera Institute of Justice’s Guardianship Project.

Sophia is strong mediator whose professional background is characterized by effective and compassionate mediation of clients confronting major decisions about their futures.

Sophia graduated from Brooklyn Law School in 2006. She completed an M.A. in Bioethics from Case Western Reserve University and a B.A. in Philosophy at UCLA.

She has been an active member of the New York City bioethics community, coordinating events for the New York Academy of Medicine’s Metropolitan Ethics Network and serving on the Ethics Committee at Lenox Hill Hospital.

She is admitted to practice law in New York.
