C .A. Goldberg, PLLC is a Brooklyn-based law firm that fights against assholes, pervs, psychos and trolls.We get justice for clients who’ve been stalked, sexually assaulted, harassed, or blackmailed – online and off. We need an Office Assistant who can help our bustling firm run productively! You’ll do that through smart problem-solving, strong verbal and written communication with clients, and sharp attention to detail. Daily  admin tasks include filing, scanning, mailing, answering calls.  The firm handles very sensitive matters that require urgent and judicious action from the Office Assistant. It’s crucial that you can prioritize assignments based on the firm’s primary goals to serve our clients and help more people. 


★ Has at least 1 – 2 years of applicable office experience

★ Possesses fine-tuned organizational habits

★ Is socially intelligent when addressing staff, potential clients, and current clients

★ Just has that thing where you know what to do and when to do it!


Conduct brief intake calls with potential clients

• Coordinate travel

• General assistance to owner and attorneys

• Answer the phones and take clear messages

• Ability to learn our Practice Management Software

• Calendar management that is always accurate and keeps attorneys on schedule!

• Troubleshoot tech problems, i.e. knowing who to call, what to Google

• Keep supplies stocked at all times!

• Greet guests


A calming presence – Our clients are in distress and you are their first point of contact. We need your communication to be refined, precise, and tactful. 

Coping skills – Exposure to disturbing information and sexually graphic material is a regular part of the job. You must be self-contained and emotionally mature.

Creative and proactive – we really do want to know your ideas on how to improve things. Don’t be afraid to speak up!

Consistent delivery – meeting goals is super important to you. This role is a integral part of the office’s ecosystem and you understand how completing smaller, not-so-glam tasks on time directly advances the firm’s mission to help people who are under attack.


Nobody with a law degree or who is planning to go to law school will be considered. This is not a stepping stone job to be on our legal team. We need somebody whose goal is to make our office run optimally.

It is more important to us that you have the skills for the job than that you are passionate about our practice area. The person in this role will be asked to demonstrate their administrative competency every single day. But even if you have less than 1.5 years of office experience –  still apply! We are happy to teach early-career candidates who have the right qualities and natural abilities, i.e. a quick learner with a team player attitude!  This is a temp-to-perm gig with longterm growth potential. Perfect for a recent grad or experienced receptionist.
